Data Centre Build Best Practice

ITE Projects design, build and maintain server and computer rooms, data centres and internet telehosting facilities.

ITE Projects is located in Hampshire with a team of engineers and maintenance staff located throughout the South of England; we have constructed data centres and computer rooms throughout Europe the and the UK.

Many of our clients engaged ITE Projects to build their first data centre; such companies included Equinix (previously IX Europe), Telecity, Orange (previously Global One), and more recently, RapidSwitch and C4L.

To keep start-up costs to a minimum, we built a number of these facilities in phases, starting with a minimum of equipment and infrastructure, and expanding and upgrading as the facility was populated.

Our projects range in size from small company server or computer rooms to large data centre builds which can be up to 6000 square metres in size.

ITE Projects provide a complete service, including:-

• Surveys of the clients’ premises to assess suitability.
  
• Drawings, planning permissions and building regulations, if required.
  
• Computer room air conditioning and cooling, including direct expansion, chilled water and free cooling.
• Electrical services, including UPS , switchgear, generator backup and transformer installation.
• Fire detection and suppression systems
• Monitoring, including in-rack and remote fault finding and diagnostics, leak detection and security.
• Building works, including raised floors, fire rated walls, doors and ceilings and outbuildings for additional services (generators, transformers etc).
• 24 hour service and maintenance support.

All projects are fully project managed with all our electricians and mechanical staff being NICEIC and FGas accredited. ITE Projects is also a registered endorser of the European code of conduct for data centre builders.
